Dr Chester Douglass has stepped down after 12 years as Trustee of the ACFF. Since 2012 Dr Douglass’s expertise in oral and public health have been an invaluable guide contributing to the charity’s successes.
In recent years Dr Douglass was Professor Emeritus of Oral Health Policy in the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Professor of Epidemiology in the Harvard School of Public Health and directed the Harvard University Oral Epidemiology Doctoral Training Program. He also served as President for the Denta Quest Foundation, Chair of the Program Committee for Massachusetts based Health Resources in Action as well as sitting on the Board of Directors. Dr Douglass regularly travelled across the United States to lecture on issues relating to trends in the economic market for dental care, access to dental care, and the effect of demographic trends and new technologies on the need and demand for dental care.
We are tremendously grateful for Dr Douglass’s efforts in supporting The ACFF in his role as Trustee and wish him the very best for the future.
